They let you lot do the dirty work most of the addons what are compatible with v5 are from v4. Gsx forum have clearly stated that there product is highlighting a p3d fault one of which no one will admit. One issue is that some add-on developers do not take the time to program their add-ons properly to DX I have seen numerous error reports in these threads with an exception code meaning that the add-on is trying to write to an area where they have no right to write.

That one belongs in the add-on developer's inbox, together with a demand that they either fix that or pay your money back. There is no way that Lockheed Martin can be held responsible for their behavior or have an obligation to fix such issues. I don't know what is said in the GSX forums, what I said here is what I have read in threads in this forum. Therefore, I think it is time for the ProSim-AR team to come up with an official statement of what the future is of the new version and what this means for users with P3D v4.

It's because I see a lot of posts lately, that I started this topic, because nobody really knows what is about to happen. A clear statement of the board would make a big difference.

As said, it's been silent for to long and this makes people nervous. Those that wanted to progress to V3 could run V2 and V3 on the same computer as totally separated systems and use V2 while V3 was still in Beta.

I have taken the plunge to V3 and so far apart from a few issues that are posted about in the various forums, I am quite satisfied and am still using P3Dv4. I personally will be distracted for a while on Monday here with MSFS I personally will keep trying the betas as they are given as an update and if I get to the stage that I have to rethink the P3Dv4.

I can not see how Prosim will not become a part of msfs as it may lose customers. Perhaps some of the work being done in Prosim is also going to be part of msfs and that could be why it seems to be taking longer.

Just a guess of course. So I guess the choice is for each individual, either stay with Prosim 2 as it is or venture into unknown territory as most of us seen to enjoy, Not all I will add though.
